Prelims qualifying (state wise cutoffs); merit from Mains only (no interview).
The cutoff, in plain words
Commonly 70 to 85 of 100 (UR), state dependent
How it screens: State wise qualifying
No interview. Merit comes from Mains alone. Cutoffs move with every year's paper and vacancies, and they differ by category and post. Read these as the level to beat, not a promise.

IBPS Clerk questions people ask
Is IBPS Clerk Prelims hard?
The clock and the marking make it hard: 36 seconds a question, and a quarter of a mark lost on every wrong one. Practise under time from the first day and the paper stops being a surprise.
Can I prepare without coaching?
For Prelims, yes, if you practise the way the paper scores: questions every day under time, every mistake understood, full papers on the clock.
How much does negative marking hurt?
A right answer earns 1 mark and a wrong one costs a quarter of a mark, so four wrong answers erase one right one. Rule options out before you guess.
Are these actual IBPS Clerk questions?
No. Every question is an original written to the IBPS Clerk pattern and level, and Play To Prepare is not connected to the IBPS.
What is the biggest mistake in IBPS Clerk preparation?
Solving everything from first principles. Simplification and approximation alone run about 12 of the 35 Numerical Ability questions, and the paper gives you 36 seconds a question. Speed drills win Clerk prelims; elegant long solutions lose them.
