Prelims only screens. Final merit comes from Mains (250) plus GE and Interview (50). Cutoffs move with every year's paper and vacancies, and they differ by category and post. Read these as the level to beat, not a promise.

Is SBI PO Prelims hard?
The clock and the marking make it hard: 36 seconds a question, and a quarter of a mark lost on every wrong one. Practise under time from the first day and the paper stops being a surprise.
Can I prepare without coaching?
For Prelims, yes, if you practise the way the paper scores: questions every day under time, every mistake understood, full papers on the clock.
How much does negative marking hurt?
A right answer earns 1 mark and a wrong one costs a quarter of a mark, so four wrong answers erase one right one. Rule options out before you guess.
Are these actual SBI PO questions?
No. Every question is an original written to the SBI PO pattern and level, and Play To Prepare is not connected to the State Bank of India.
What is the biggest mistake in SBI PO preparation?
Untimed practice. The prelims locks each section at exactly 20 minutes. You cannot borrow a single minute from English for Quant, so solving at leisure trains a pace the hall will not allow. Every PTP mock runs the 20 minute section clock for exactly this reason.
