Scores are normalized across shifts, which is how the published figure can pass the raw maximum. Read it as a level, not a raw score. CBT 2 and the aptitude test follow. Cutoffs move with every year's paper and vacancies, and they differ by category and post. Read these as the level to beat, not a promise.

Is RRB ALP CBT 1 hard?
The clock and the marking make it hard: 48 seconds a question, and a third of a mark lost on every wrong one. Practise under time from the first day and the paper stops being a surprise.
Can I prepare without coaching?
For CBT 1, yes, if you practise the way the paper scores: questions every day under time, every mistake understood, full papers on the clock.
How much does negative marking hurt?
A right answer earns 1 mark and a wrong one costs a third of a mark, so three wrong answers erase one right one. Rule options out before you guess.
Are these actual RRB ALP questions?
No. Every question is an original written to the RRB ALP pattern and level, and Play To Prepare is not connected to the Railway Recruitment Boards.
What is the biggest mistake in RRB ALP preparation?
Treating it as a maths and reasoning exam. General Science and current affairs together are 30 of the 75 questions in CBT 1. Sit them cold and you have surrendered 40% of the paper before the clock starts.
