RRB Group D CBT mock test and practice, free
RRB Group D is the exam that the Railway Recruitment Boards set for Level 1 posts, open to Class 10 and ITI candidates: one 100 question, 90 minute computer based paper, with a third of a mark lost for every wrong answer, and then a physical efficiency test.
Ten questions at a time, in the real CBT pattern. Then the full paper on the clock.

What the paper asks
| Section | QuestionsQs | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | 25 | 25 |
| General Intelligence and Reasoning | 30 | 30 |
| General Science | 25 | 25 |
| General Awareness and Current Affairs | 20 | 20 |
| CBT | 100 | 100 |
Min %: UR/EWS 40, OBC 30, SC 30, ST 25. Then PET (qualifying). Merit by normalized CBT score.
The cutoff, in plain words
UR 75 to 85 of 100, normalized
How it screens: Category minimums, then a normalized rank
Category minimums: UR/EWS 40% · OBC 30% · SC 30% · ST 25%
The Physical Efficiency Test follows, and it is qualifying. Cutoffs move with every year's paper and vacancies, and they differ by category and post. Read these as the level to beat, not a promise.

RRB Group D questions people ask
Is RRB Group D CBT hard?
The clock and the marking make it hard: 54 seconds a question, and a third of a mark lost on every wrong one. Practise under time from the first day and the paper stops being a surprise.
Can I prepare without coaching?
For CBT, yes, if you practise the way the paper scores: questions every day under time, every mistake understood, full papers on the clock.
How much does negative marking hurt?
A right answer earns 1 mark and a wrong one costs a third of a mark, so three wrong answers erase one right one. Rule options out before you guess.
Are these actual RRB Group D questions?
No. Every question is an original written to the RRB Group D pattern and level, and Play To Prepare is not connected to the Railway Recruitment Boards.
What is the biggest mistake in RRB Group D preparation?
Assuming an entry level paper needs no preparation. Around a crore of people apply, scores are normalized across shifts, and 10th standard science alone is 25 of the 100 questions: specific, learnable marks most applicants never sit down to learn.
